Scholarship Sponsored by Sage Finch Counseling
This scholarship is designed for those who are on their journey to becoming a therapist, particularly those who have demonstrated exceptional bravery, ingenuity, or tenacity.
The Sage Finch Counseling Aspiring Therapists Scholarship, valued at $1,000, is available to those who are undertaking graduate-level studies with the aim of becoming licensed counselors or marriage and family therapists.
We particularly welcome applications from those who:
- Have a strong interest in trauma-informed and inclusive care.
- Are embarking on a second career (yes, personal reinvention counts).
- Intend to establish a private practice.
- Are dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ and marginalized communities.
Application Process
To apply for the Sage Finch Counseling Aspiring Therapists Scholarship, fill out the online application form and submit a concise personal essay (500–750 words). You also have the option to submit a short video to enhance your application.
Your essay should address the following prompt:
What experiences or values have influenced your choice to become a therapist, and how do you plan to foster affirming, inclusive environments for others?
Optional Video (1–2 minutes):
You have the option to include a short video introducing yourself and expressing your enthusiasm for becoming a therapist. Although not mandatory, video submissions can provide us with a more personal understanding of you and may enhance your application. Videos can be recorded on your phone and do not need to be professionally made.
