- $1,000.00
Scholarship Purpose
The Sister-to-Sister Scholarship, established in honor of Dr. Frazier, provides financial support to mature African American women pursuing post-secondary education.
Eligibility and Application Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be at least 19 years old
- Submit two (2) letters of recommendation (recommendations from family members are not accepted)
- Provide a recent photograph
- Include a personal statement outlining your goals
- Supply proof of acceptance to an accredited college, university, or institute of higher learning. Proof must be on the institution’s official letterhead and clearly show the student’s name, term, and date
- If you are a continuing or returning student, submit an official transcript from the most recent college, university, or institute of higher learning you attended
- Demonstrate written communication skills by submitting a typed essay of 275–300 words describing the circumstances that qualify you for the scholarship and explaining how the award would affect your post-secondary plans
