Newland & Newland Single Parent Scholarship
To help single-parent households access higher education, the firm is awarding the Newland & Newland Single Parent Scholarship. For Fall 2026 we will grant one $1,000 scholarship to a single parent or to a child of a single parent who is pursuing studies that lead toward a career in law.
Who may apply
The Fall 2026 scholarship is open to applicants from single-parent households who are preparing for a legal career. Eligible candidates must meet all of the following:
- Be a single parent or the child of a single parent
- Be enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester at an accredited college, university, or law school
- Be engaged in a paralegal, legal assistant, or pre-law program
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
- Be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States
