The Community Foundation administers more than 100 scholarships intended for high school students from Adams County, PA.
How to apply
- Begin your application at www.adamscountydfs.org. The scholarship portal for 2025 opens on January 1, 2025.
Important dates
- Application deadline: March 15, 2025.
- Award announcements: Scholarship recipients for 2025 will be revealed at the Scholarship Award Breakfast on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
Application process and requirements
- You do not need to submit separate applications for most awards. The Community Foundation will automatically match your single submission to the majority of eligible competitive scholarships.
- References or letters of recommendation are not required.
Scholarships that require a separate application
- Returning Student Application — For Adams County residents who have completed at least one year of post-secondary education or an accredited technical program and who are returning to school after an absence of one year or longer.
- Dr. Charles H. Glatfelter Scholarship Application — Open to any descendant of Casper Glattfelder, who was the first of his family to arrive in the United States in 1743. Applicants do not have to live in Adams County; descendants from anywhere in the country are eligible.
- Emory H. & Luther D. Snyder Littlestown Foundry, Inc. Scholarship Application — For direct descendants of current full-time employees or officially retired employees of Littlestown Foundry, Inc. Applicants may reside outside Adams County. Owners or relatives of Littlestown Foundry, Inc. stockholders are not eligible.
