National Beta Scholarships

Introduction
The National Beta Scholarship Program exists to support members as they pursue higher education by providing financial awards. Each year the program distributes more than $300,000 in scholarship funds to 260 active Senior Beta members (12th grade).

Eligibility
- Applicants must be active National Beta members in the 12th grade (Senior Beta Members).

How to apply
- The online application opens on November 3, 2025 at scholarship.betaclub.org.
- To access the application, students must enter their National Beta membership ID number and their last name.
- If an applicant does not have their membership ID, they should contact their National Beta Sponsor or email the National Office with their full name, school name, and state to obtain it.
- Applicants must upload their high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores directly into the application. Uploaded score reports (screenshots are acceptable) and transcripts will be checked for authenticity.
- All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on January 15, 2026.

Selection Process — Phase 1 (Initial Review)
All eligible 12th-grade applicants complete the general application, which includes:
- Contact information
- Academic information
- Unweighted GPA
- ACT or SAT scores (with an uploaded copy for verification)
- High school transcript (official or unofficial accepted)
- Club involvement
- National Beta events attended
- Leadership positions and National Beta awards
- Service hours listed by project, including the role held for each activity
- Resume details
- Other extracurricular activities
- Service hours outside National Beta
- Awards/honors earned outside National Beta

Applicants who are selected to receive at least $1,000 will be contacted by email. Scholarship recipients’ names will also be published online and shared via National Beta’s social media channels. Selection decisions (including semifinalist choices) are final and cannot be appealed; applicants will not receive individualized feedback on their submissions.

Selection Process — Phase 2 (Semifinalist Review)
From Phase 1, the top 100 semifinalists will be invited to submit additional materials to be considered for the highest awards (ten top prizes totaling: $20,000; $15,000; $10,000; $8,000; $6,000; and five awards of $2,500). Required Phase 2 items include:
- One Sponsor Recommendation explaining why the student merits a National Beta Scholarship
- One to three Candidate Evaluations that address the student’s character, leadership, service activities, and academic strengths
- Two student essays
- Work history, if applicable

Notifications
- Scholarship recipients receiving $1,000 or more will be notified by email.
- Winners will be posted on the National Beta website and announced on their social media channels.

Timeline / Important Dates
- Applications open: November 3, 2025
- Application deadline: January 15, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)
- Semifinalists announced: February 12, 2026
- Semifinalist materials due: March 15, 2026
- Winners announced: May 1, 2026
