The Lutheran Foundation acknowledges the importance of well-educated, empathetic professionals in the field of nursing and other healthcare disciplines. This scholarship is a one-time opportunity and is highly competitive.
Applicants are not required to be of Lutheran faith to be eligible for this scholarship.
Criteria for Eligibility
- Applicants must be pursuing a career in nursing or a health professions degree that involves direct patient care.
- Applicants must be permanent residents of one of the following counties in Indiana: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, or Whitley.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale.
- Applicants must be current college students, older students seeking a second career, or planning to attend college in the upcoming academic year.
- Applicants must be at least at the sophomore level and must provide an acceptance letter from the nursing or health professions program.
- Applicants must be planning to attend at least two semesters in the upcoming academic year.
- Applicants must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree (certificate programs are not eligible).
